# Hallvi > Hallvi deploys an application from GitHub to a Linux server you control, checks that it works, and operates it through a conversation. It runs on an Apple-silicon Mac or on Ubuntu 24.04 x64. These docs describe Hallvi 0.1.1-alpha.12, an alpha. A coding agent that operates Hallvi should read the agent reference first. It is one Markdown file with the prerequisites, the CLI and MCP contracts, the request lifecycle, approvals, retries, evidence and recovery. ## Docs for coding agents - [Agent reference](https://hallvi.com/docs/agents/index.md): how a coding agent drives Hallvi through its CLI or MCP adapter, as plain Markdown. ## Docs for people - [Install Hallvi](https://hallvi.com/docs/people/install.html): the install command, the requirements and the service commands. - [Connect your accounts](https://hallvi.com/docs/people/accounts.html): ChatGPT, Hetzner or your own server, GitHub and Cloudflare. - [Deploy your first application](https://hallvi.com/docs/people/first-deployment.html): from a GitHub repository to a private link. - [Permission modes](https://hallvi.com/docs/people/permissions.html): when Hallvi waits for approval. - [Private and public access](https://hallvi.com/docs/people/access.html): private links, publishing and your own domain. - [Common problems](https://hallvi.com/docs/people/troubleshooting.html): messages and their fixes. ## Optional - [All people docs](https://hallvi.com/docs/people/): the full list of guides for people. - [Source and releases](https://github.com/lustoykov/hallvi): the product repository, including the CLI and MCP adapter documents.
